What is Positive Change?

Positive Change is a series of conferences aimed at inspiring people to pursue careers in organisations that are out to make the world a better place. It is a collaboration between two organisations committed to the Third Sector.

But Positive Change is more than just conferences – it’s an idea that is still evolving, that by bringing committed and passionate people together, inspiring them and working with them we can create a real force for change. That’s the bit that we find very exciting.

Each conference aims to provide a positive and insightful look into working in a different part of the economy, where your skills and experience can be used for positive benefit. Be it the green sector, charity sector or with international NGOs, we’ll find speakers who can bring the sector to life, and get you motivated and equipped to find work that suits you.

The conferences are held in the evenings from 6pm to 9:30pm on a weekday, at SOAS (The School of Oriental and African Studies, in Central London) . We carefully condense a traditional day conference into just 3 hours and always have at least 10 speakers with first hand experience and expertise to really give you a deep and wide look at the opportunities available and how you can capitalise on them.

The follow-up is great too – our web site provides downloads of the speakers talks so you can go over them in your own time, and we capture each presentation on film to give you access to the key parts of each talk too. We also ask all our speakers to donate resources and discounts so that you can continue to benefit from your involvement with the conference event itself.
