For over 20 years, our client, Brendoncare, has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through care centres and, more recently, friendship clubs. They are looking for an exceptional individual to take responsibility for producing a fundraising income stream to meet agreed targets. Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with, and provide support to, the Chairman of Appeals and the Appeals Committee. You will also work collaboratively with the Trustees, the Foundation’s Central Office team and other key managers. Accountability includes both Fundraising Managers and the Fundraising Administrator. Principal Responsibilities Include: 1. Fundraising Develop a fundraising strategy and annual fundraising business plans Develop an extensive network of key relationships with prospective and existing donors Support the Clubs division in its pursuit of grants Coordinate the Care Centres/Clubs fundraising programmes 2. PR and Marketing Act as spokesperson for the Foundation on fundraising Promote the success of the fundraising programme Work with Communications team to ensure corporate style guidelines are followed Work with the PR and Communications team in production of literature 3. Staff Management Ensure supporters are actively involved in annual fundraising plan Ensure fundraising team adhere to all policies and procedures Manage the fundraising team and provide training and development Implement the Foundation’s individual performance review system 4. General and Business Management Responsible for establishing good management practices Ensure effectively monthly progress reporting to keep CEO fully informed Develop and monitor performance based bonus system for the Trust and Legacy Fundraisers Investigate all complaints within the procedural protocols Keep own professional knowledge and skills up-to-date Person Specification First class communication, presentation and organisational skills Ability to build relationships Proven demonstrable fundraising background Understanding the principals of good customer care Knowledge of accountabilities of a charity to its donors Ability to lead and innovate Knowledge of legislation affecting fundraising Understanding of budgeting and financial issues An empathy with the cause of the charity
